Gary Simmons, Th.D.

Rev. Dr. Gary Simmons is a renowned peacemaker and spiritual leader whose teachings and ground-breaking Integral Model of Ministry are transforming church organizations and helping leaders to more fully express their Divine calling.

As an ordained minister for 35 years, Dr. Simmons pioneered three Unity churches, served on the Board of Trustees of the Association of Unity Churches International, and was Director of Peacemaking Services and Assistant Vice President of Integral Operations. Dr. Simmons was instrumental in creating The Transformation Experience-a whole-system church growth and development approach based in part on his doctoral work, the Integral Model of Ministry. Dr. Simmons continues to support the growth of thriving ministries and enlightened leaders in both the Unity and Centers for Spiritual Living movements as a consultant.

Dr. Simmons is author of The I of the Storm: Embracing Conflict, Creating Peace, a Unity bestseller now in its sixteenth printing and co-author of The Art & Practice of Living with Nothing and No One Against You. His latest book is The Soul's Conspiracy: Master Conflict and Transform Your Life.

Having implemented peacemaking and transition consulting in more than 300 New Thought organizations, Dr. Simmons’ contributions have been recognized with multiple awards, including the “Expanding the Dream Award,” and, in 2004, the prestigious Myrtle Fillmore Award for embodying the heart of Unity in his ability to help heal divisions.

Dr. Simmons received his doctor of theology degree from Holos University Graduate Seminary and is an adjunct faculty member for Holmes and Unity Institutes.

Dr. Simmons holds a fourth-degree black belt in the martial art of tae kwon-do and is an experimental aircraft pilot currently building his fourth airplane. He lives with wife, the Rev. Dr. Jane Simmons, a Unity minister, in Spokane, WA were they both serve as co-ministers of Unity Spiritual Center Spokane.

Jane Simmons, Th.D.

Rev. Dr. Jane Simmons is a powerful speaker, author, minister and educator with a passionate heart-centered approach to personal transformation and multi-generational ministry. Dr. Simmons’ strong background in curriculum writing for adults and youth, her unique spiritual wisdom and her expertise in strategies to develop heart coherence are an integral part of The Q Effect, LLC.

Ordained as a Unity minister in 1999, Rev. Dr. Simmons has held lead minister positions in both the United States and her native country of Canada. Dr. Simmons served for seven years as the International Teen Ministry Coordinator for Unity Worldwide Ministries (formerly the Association of Unity Churches International) where she was instrumental in developing powerful youth programs, spiritual educator trainings and conferences supporting the future leaders of Unity. She is presently the Senior Co-Minister at Unity Spiritual Center in Spokane, Washington with her husband, Rev. Dr. Gary Simmons.

Jane created youth and adult curriculum based on the Unity best seller The I of the Storm written by her husband, Rev. Dr. Gary Simmons. She also adapted and expanded on his work authoring I of the Storm for Teens. The I of the Storm and I of the Storm for Teens along with their companion curricula for adults and teens teach peacemaking skills for youth and adults in the New Thought movement. Jane has published numerous articles and essays, and is also the co-author of the popular book Who Have You Come Here To Be: 101 Possibilities for Contemplation with Rima Bonario and Kelly Isola.

Dr. Simmons has presented at major venues such as the New Thought Spiritual Educator’s Symposium and The Unity People’s Convention on the importance of a multi-generational approach to ministry, assisting church leaders in strengthening their existing youth and family programs and widening their perspective on multi-generational congregational service. In addition, Dr. Simmons assisted in facilitating the integration of the youth programs from International Centers for Spiritual Living and United Centers for Spiritual Living as part of their overall integration process.

A sought-after pulpit speaker, Dr. Simmons has traveled throughout North America giving Sunday talks and workshops as a guest minister. As a qualified HeartMath Instructor, she offers trainings for educators and spiritual leaders on the science of heart coherence, as well as providing heart coherence instruction during the Q Coach Facilitators Training program for The Q Effect. Dr. Simmons’ personal commitment to living heart-centered principles in all areas of her life is a true inspiration to all who know her.

Dr. Simmons holds a first-degree black belt in the combined martial arts of Karate, Jiu Jitsu and Tae Kwon-Do. She and Gary presently reside in Spokane, Washington.

Rima BonarioRima Bonario, Th.D.

Rima E. Bonario, Th.D., is an author, workshop leader and transformative relationship mentor who is passionate about accelerating personal, professional and planetary transformation.

With 25 years of executive and management expertise and lifelong spiritual leadership development, Dr. Bonario joined forces in 2008 with renowned peacemaker Dr. Gary Simmons. Together they founded The Q Effect LLC to support individuals and New Thought organizations in building a world that works for all.

In 2009, they created The Art & Practice of Living with Nothing and No One Against You program. Dr. Bonario is also the co-author of the popular book Who Have You Come Here To Be: 101 Possibilities for Contemplation with Jane Simmons and Kelly Isola. Their work combines the life-changing concepts of brain science, quantum physics, attachment theory, family systems theory, shadow work, and universal spiritual laws into a practical, 21-day transformational process that is appealing and easily accessible to a broader audience with   workshops designed for those who want to live, lead and relate from integrity, wholeness and one’s highest expression of self.

Dr. Bonario earned her doctorate in Transformational Psychology from Holos University Graduate Seminary, where she designed a research study to quantify the shifts in consciousness created by the Art and Practice of Living with Nothing and No One Against You. She not only graduated with honors, but her research work earned her the Gold Medal Emerging Scientist Award from the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energy and Energy Medicine. She also holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Communications and Leadership from Seton Hall University and has many years of experience as a communications expert and as well as leadership development expertise.

Dr. Bonario is an on-going student of SQ 21 Spiritual Intelligence Theory, Integral Theory, Spiral Dynamics, and Appreciative Inquiry. She has served as a mentor and certified guide for the Foundation for Conscious Evolution’s Gateway program. She is also a certified coach for the Spiritual Intelligence Assessment.

Dr. Bonario has served the New Thought movement in a variety of capacities, including as Executive Director for Unity Houston, one of the largest Unity churches; and as a consultant for Unity Institute and the Association of Unity Churches International, where she developed the “Thriving in Unity” program and supported the launch of “The Transformation Experience.” Rima, along with her husband Toby and their daughter Sophia, reside in Overland Park, Kansas.
